Kyle Atkinson
Registered Massage Therapist
Kyle is a Registered Massage Therapist who graduated with honours from Georgian College’s Massage Therapy program. He is passionate about helping people recover from injury, reduce pain, and move with confidence to successfully return to the activities that matter most to them.
Before becoming an RMT Kyle worked as a yoga instructor and spent many years in physically demanding occupations. These experiences helped him understand how repetitive work and heavy loading can contribute to cumulative strain on the body. His experience also propels his care for proper body mechanics. Kyle’s personal experience recovering from sports injuries and overuse conditions has shaped his empathetic approach.
Kyle has experience treating a wide variety of patients. He has interest in managing chronic aches and pains, workplace injury, athlete injury recovery, performance improvement, and just helping people stay active. He believes the best treatment begins with listening to understand each person’s goals then creating an individualized plan that supports long-term recovery. His treatments utilize evidence-based techniques combined with tailored movement education and home care strategies.
Outside the clinic Kyle enjoys spending time with his wife, strength training, back-country skiing, and endurance sports. He is currently training for an Ironman 70.3 triathlon which has acutely, and maybe chronically, highlighted his interest in the importance of rest, recovery, and injury prevention.
